New Additions to the Team

Despite the incredibly difficult year 2020 is proving to be we’re extremely excited to announce the appointment of two new staff members.

In the last month we’ve taken on a new Estimator; David Delamore and Business Operations Manager; Lauren Reiske.

Throughout the course of his career David has spent a total of 27 years working for Hamble Yacht Services. On finishing school David spent 7 years learning the trade with HYS, before moving abroad, working in the Far East. On his return to England he re-joined HYS, initially working on the shop floor before being promoted to Estimator where he’s spent the last 10 years honing his estimating skills. Vortec Marine are thrilled to have David join the team, his input and experience are a huge asset to the business.

Lauren brings with her 15 years experience in the marine industry. Having started out working for a sailmakers Lauren moved on to Universal Marina. She started as an Administration Assistant working her way up to Marina Manager before departing in 2017. She has since had a break from marine life focusing on Operations and Health & Safety, but she simply couldn’t stay away! We’re delighted to have been able to welcome her back to the industry. Lauren will be assisting with multiple areas of the business including operations, accounts, marketing, H&S and HR.

We’re also really pleased to say our Office Administrator Honor Daniels-King has completed her apprenticeship with us and has joined us Vortec Marine a permanent member of the team. Prior to her apprenticeship Honor worked with children in a nursery for 3 years. She decided she needed a change of direction to try something new and progress her career.

Managing Director Ross Collingwood; “I am pleased to welcome the new additions to the team and I’m looking forward to continued expansion of the business”.

Director Richard Burlingham; “Fantastic to be welcoming David from HYS with all his experience and to be working with Lauren again. Having worked together for a number of years and grown the business at Universal Marina I look forward to doing the same at Vortec Marine.”
