The Overview

COMMENTS

 

One can safely say the Swan 48 is created by the work of a team of experts, and she offers the best equipment and materialspecifications and solutions available in the market.The equipment and tanks are low in the bottom of the hull and close to thelongitudinal center of buoyancy.

 

‘Blues’ has already received many upgrades for long distance cruising and double handed racing. She has been tested in differentconditions and is even better than new.

 

 

 

Hull

 

The hull topsides are foam cored glass fiber reinforced vinylester construction. Hull bottom is monolithic/high density foam for increased impact resistance.

Steering

 

Twin rudder steering system with double steering wheels.

The rudders are of PVC-foam cored glass fibre reinforced polyester laminate with tapered hi-tensile stainless-steel stock

Each rudder is supported by two self-aligning bearings. Aluminium tillers connected to central track with link bars

 

Deck

 

On deck there are separate areas for relaxing and sail handling. All halyards and sails are controlled from the cockpit and the tailsstowed in dedicated bins. Protection from the elements is given by the spray hood mounted in combination with the bimini.Thelazarette is large enough to accommodate and stow a fully inflated

2.80 metre tender.

INTERIOR

 

A well illuminated, massive interior volume where every one of the three cabins and two heads, that include separate showers has beencarefully developed in detail by the interior designer.

 

The interior includes all furniture and bulkheads in varnished oak with satin finish, floorboards are in oak with light koto stripes in a satin varnish.

 

Leather upholstered bulkhead panels in forward cabin and aft cabins starboard and port with decorative vertical stiching

 

Leather wrapping on mast in the saloon as well as on the tabletops

 

 

 

 

ENGINE & HYDRAULICS

 

The engine is a Volvo Penta D2-75 Saildrive

Stern thruster, sidepower SRLP retractable 24V swing type. Powered by a 24V /75Ah battery. Battery charging from Mastervolt Mac plus 24/12-50 – all new 2022.

Thruster is controlled by a joystick unit located on starboard pedestal. Bow thruster, Side-Power SRV100-24IP DC powered, swing type

 

PLUMBING AND VENTILATION

 

Webasto AirTop Diesel Heater System

AirTop EVO 40, 4kW heater installed on port side in lazarette. Hot air ducted along port hull side having branches and outlets into following:

  • port aft cabin, galley, saloon, fwd toilet and owner’s

AirTop 2000 STC, 2kW heater installed on starboard side in the lazarette. Hot air ducted along stbd hull side having branches and outlets into following:

  • stbd aft cabin, aft toilet, wet locker and the Both heaters have their own remote sensors for room temperature in thesaloon and MultiControls (panel with display) above the main panel in the saloon.

 

Heater power supply 24V DC. Electric toilets (new 2021)

 

 

 

 

 

ELECTRICAL

 

Power supply for 230V

USB-charger double outlets in fwd cabin one at each side of bed, at the navigation station and in aft cabin. In total 4 double chargeroutlets in interior. USB charger total current max 3A per socket or when operating both sockets.

 

 

ELECTRONICS

 

B&G Triton2 4.1″ digital displays in the cockpit, 2 pcs. B&G Wind sensor WS310 mounted at mast head DST800 combined speed, depth andtemperature sensor

  • B&G Precision-9 compass
  • B&G ZG100 GPS antenna, on the port pushpuit lower rail
  • B&G NAIS-500 AIS transponder including NSPL-500 VHF antenna splitter and GPS-500 GPS System is connectedto Zeus and VHF antenna. GPS antenna is positioned on pushpit.
  • B&G V90S VHF radio at the chart table
  • B&G H50 VHF wireless handset positioned in the cockpit
  • AC Marine CX4 VHF antenna, mounted at the mast head
  • B&G NEP-2 network expansion port, located at chart table

B&G Triton/H5000 20/20 HV displays, 3 pcs, located on mast bracket Navigation system

B&G Zeus3 9 inch multifunction displays, one on each pedestal in cockpit, connected to B&G Triton system or optional B&G H5000system. Includes GRP helm stations.

B&G HALO24 compact 24-inch dome antenna integrated with the B&G Zeus2 navigation system. Including radar bracket.

Two new B&G Zeus3 9 inches multifunction displays one on each pedestal in cockpit. New from summer 2022. Communication Systems

 

Yachtspot Internet 4G & Wi-Fi Pro system. Searches for 4G networks or public WiFi “hot-spots” and broadcasts them into the yachtswireless local area network (WLAN). Includes Yachtspot 4G & WiFi Pro terminal, wireless router and 4G/WLAN antenna, Comrod AC2P1.Antenna position on mast.

 

Entertainment Systems

 

Marine stereo system Fusion MS-RA770 (AM/FM, WiFi streaming, optical in, USB, Bluetooth) and ceiling speakers B&W CCM-362 onepair in saloon. Connected to B&G NMEA2000 bus which allows control from MFDs.

 

Cockpit speakers one pair, Fusion MS-FR6021, connected to saloon stereo unit.

 

LED TV 32 inch, Samsung Series 5 with built-in digital DVB-T2 tuner, installed on pop-up tv-lift in saloon, stbd side. Only togetherwith forward facing navigation station.

 

Autopilot system

 

B&G autopilot for B&G Triton system. Autopilot controller located close to starboard pedestal.
