HULL
General
Scantlings, materials, and workmanship throughout are consistent with the construction of a light hull, without compromising strength or stiffness.
Laminate General
Hull/deck joint is bonded with epoxy structural adhesive. Carbon reinforcements are used in structural components such as the keel grid and some specific bulkheads.
Lay up
Glass-foam sandwich epoxy infused laminate vacuum bagged and post cured. Sandwich construction with high performance foam Corecell core.
Stiffening General
The construction of the hull structure components, including the keel box, is of E-glass and epoxy, with specific carbon unidirectional reinforcements. These components are infused and cured separatly, then introduced and bonded to the hull with epoxy adhesives, under vaccum pressure.
Structural bulkheads
Structural bulkheads in composite glass epoxy sandwich infused with some reinforcements in carbon unidirectional fibres and bonded to the hull with structural epoxy adhesive.
Chain plates
Chain plates system: Metal chain plates with composite gusset load dissipation.
Hull finish General
Gelcoat weather resistant type.
Keel and Bulb General
CNC machined fin keel in Toolox 33, Estimated weight – 217 kg. Keel is mounted into a hull recessed keel box and fixed with 2 vertical bolts. Bulb in antimony alloyed lead, bolted to short-cord fin. estimated weight 1238 Kg with 40 Kg pocket reserve for handicap rule as optional. The keel and the bulb are designed to be conveniently taken off for easier transportation.
Steering system
General
Tiller arms with aluninium steering rods.
Rudders
Two Isotop rudders with carbon/ epoxy composite stock and shells, foam filled. JP3 self-aligned bearings.
Foils
One C-Foil carbon infused by Persico Marine.
Emergency steering
Aluminium emergency tiller (if required by ISO rules).
DECK
Laminate
Glass epoxy infused laminate.

Deck finish
General
Gelcoat weather resistant type with antiskid particles paint.
Winches
General
Total of SEVEN Harken winches:
– Two backstay winches Harken 46.2 STP 2 speed manual
– Two mainsheet winches Harken 40.2 STP 2 speed manual. Port side winch is counter rotating. – Two primary winches Harken 46.2 STQP 2 drum 2 speed manual for jib and kite trimming.
– One pit winch Harken 40.2 STP
Mainsheet system
Mainsheet track with a roller bearing car on the stern cockpit area controlled with manual purchase system, lead to the main trimmer’s position forward of the helmsman.
Sail handling systems
General
Headstay attachment around the bow-sprit snout with loop, jib Cunningham block and tackle inside the deck gutter.
Tracks
Transversal jib sheet track control system, concealed inside the deck cover surrounding the “pit area”.
Jammers / clutches / constrictors
Spinnaker halyard stoppers at companionway.
Bowsprit
Axxon retractable bowsprit made in carbon composite with fixed bobstay which retracts into the sprit when not deployed.
Deck fittings General
Spinlock throttle placed on cockpit side by the helmsman. Engine stop start panel mounted below decks on the engine housing.
Pushpit
Stainless steal tube aft acting as a pushpit and anchoring position for the spinnaker sheet blocks OSR cat 3 pulpit, pushpit and stanchions available as an option.
Lifelines and stanchions
The spacing between the lifelines conforms to World Sailing/OSR cat 4 and OSR cat 3 requirements.

One opening (flush) deck hatches, forward.

Companionway hatch sliding (port).
Cockpit
General
There are two removable aluminium foot supports in the cockpit.
INTERIOR
General
Interior components are of lightweight construction.
The interior of the ClubSwan 36 is provided with two berths.
ENGINE General
The engine is located centrally under the cockpit.
Access is through bulkhead aft of companionway and from the sides.
Main engine Engine
The engine is a 2-cylinder Nanni marine diesel engine The engine is supported on soft mounts.
An Electric engine will be tested onboard the prototype, and could be proposed as an optional propulsion. Both options will respect the same weight and Center of Gravity”.
Propulsion system Propeller
3 bladed fixed retractable propeller on a retractable driven system which closes flush with the bottom of the hull.
Fuel system Tank
Diesel tank in polyethylene, 40 l.
ELECTRICAL General
One system on board: 12 V DC.
DC-system Service battery
Lithium service battery 100 Ah 12 V.
Alternator
Battery bank charges through shore-pick up and the engine-driven marine alternator A.
DC outlets
12 V outlet by the companionway.
Electrical panels General
Battery master switch and a 6 circuit breaker panel mounted on the engine cover adjacent to the engine control panel.
Lights Navigation lights
LED navigation lights mounted on the deck forward and Aft.
PLUMBING
Four Whale Compac 50 bilge pump mounted on the port cockpit wall discharging overboard at the transom. An additional bilge pump either electric or manual may be specified at extra charge.
RIG General
Jammer for mainsail full hoist and one reef and lock for the jib. Two running backstays with deflectors. Mast and boom are painted black Clear RAL 9005.
Mast
Axxon High Modulus (HR 40) carbon mast single set of spreaders, swept- back, deck-stepped.
Boom
Axxon racing carbon boom. Reefing line with clutches in the boom. Double ended mainsheet system. Manual vang.
Standing rigging
Nitronic 50 lateral rod stainless steel standing rigging. PBO forestay and dynema runners.
Running rigging
DSK, Spectra and other Hi-tech material running rigging sheets and purchase systems supplied in order to have a fully functioning boat at delivery.

An Owner’s Manual is provided with directions for use and maintenance, drawings and diagrams for main systems and handbooks for machinery and components.
